Journey Through
the Halls of the Hermitage
The digital world transforms real space and gives you the chance to experience what it’s like to besurrounded by the interiors of the museum. And it’s not you that wanders through the halls of the Hermitage — thanks to the multimedia technology, it’s the halls that flow over and around you. You hear the voices of different eras, immersing you in the atmosphere of a thrilling historical show. As soon as the audio guide finishes one story, the surrounding space changes, and you are plunged into the middle of completely different events.

A large-scale panoramic 180˚ panel scrolls through the artistic masterpieces that people from all over the world flock to the Hermitage to see. Detailed 3D models of the original frames enhance the authentic effect. On a separate screen, the most significant details of the paintings are shown close up in very high resolution. The audio guide, meanwhile, tells moving stories of the great canvases, their creators and their subjects.

Holograms allow us to view realistic 3D images of great sculptures, while the latest digital technologies make it possible to convey the surface texture with such faithfulness that viewers will find themselves wanting to reach out to the optical illusions and feel the breath of the marble with their own fingertips.

Tickets for the exhibition are available for purchase online and at the exhibition space box office. Adult and child (ages 14 and under) tickets are valid daily for all available showings.

  • Members of creative unions of the Russian Federation and museum employees

Concessionary tickets are valid daily, except for night sessions (Friday and Saturday from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM). Supporting documents are required upon entry to the exhibition.
